Ladle, silver, parcel-gilt, the ladle is set sideways and formed to resemble a soldier's helmet, with large and small spouts on opposite sides. Applied silver-gilt foliage. The wooden (ebony?) handle is joined by an asymmetrically scrolling connection. Pricked initials near the handle: '.B.V.S.'.
